Explore the package
Walk into a cloud forest. Follow a trail to a waterfall. Swim between the rock walls of a river canyon and discover the plants behind coffee and chocolate. Explore Panama’s culture and food, then share the day’s discoveries with new friends. For homeschooling families and curious travelers, this is learning through being there—together.
01 / PANAMA CITYBegin at Central Hotel Panamá in Casco Viejo, with a warm welcome and dinner at El Nacional Sabores de Panamá.
Taste Panamanian dishes and discover local stories along the way. Wildlife sightings depend on nature. A Gatún Lake excursion is also being considered and awaits confirmation.
02 / BOQUETEFly to David, then settle into Valle Escondido Resort for eight nights in Boquete, surrounded by mountain beauty near Volcán Barú. Explore misty forest, dramatic cliffs, and green valleys where sunshine and passing rain can bring a rainbow into view.
Tree Trek activity choices and some local experiences are still being arranged. An optional Barú sunrise excursion costs extra.
Adults and children share the fresh air and the adventure. Look closely at the forest, listen for birds, notice the shape of a canyon, and follow the questions that come naturally. There’s time to walk, hike, swim, explore, and simply take in the beauty around you.
Our planned farm and chocolate experiences connect familiar flavors to their beginnings: coffee cherries growing on the bush, the stages of coffee processing, and cacao beans becoming chocolate. We’re arranging opportunities to look closely and handle plants or ingredients where our local hosts allow.
Randy and Jules lead the journey and share advice, alongside local guides and hosts for scheduled experiences. We choose extraordinary places, activities, restaurants, and stays from our own travels with our children, so learning and discovery come with the care and quality you expect.
Sloths, other wildlife, rainbows, and clear mountain views are possibilities, shaped by nature and weather. Farm demonstrations and hands-on elements will be confirmed with our hosts.
